We are looking for an individual who is very confident and experienced in working with Housing Benefit and Supporting People.
You will be working on behalf of an established consultancy. Some of this work may be home based as will require a significant amount of liaison with the local HB office to ensure payments are accurate and made direct to the landlord given the vulnerability of the client groups which this organisation support. You will be confident in dealing with HB officers and have a good understanding of the complexity of HB rules which apply to Registered Charities providing supported accommodation services and an ability to ensure that these are applied effectively to new and existing HB claims. You will be working to an action plan and will be required to create a method for monitoring and recording your progress and use these systems to report regularly to the Project Manager. We anticipate this will be 2 or 3 days work reducting to 1 or 2 over the next 6 months or until the project brief is fulfilled.
